We are the regulator for osteopaths in the UK

We work with osteopaths, patients, and partner organisations to support safe, high quality patient care. We also work to maintain public confidence in osteopathy by protecting the reputation of the osteopathic profession.

We do this by keeping our public Register of osteopaths up to date, and by promoting high standards of practice and conduct, setting standards for osteopathic education and training, investigating concerns about osteopaths, and protecting the osteopathic title from misuse.

By law, osteopaths must be registered with us to practise in the UK.

You can search the Register by surname, postcode, town, county, country or registration number.

Accessing the o zone 5 – 16 January 2026
The o zone is unavailable until 16 January while we upgrade our database to improve efficiency and security. This means you will not be able to log in and update your practice details or renew your registration during this time. Any changes to the Register will need to be made after the freeze period has ended on 16 January.

The Register on the GOsC website will remain visible to the public and patients.

If there are urgent changes such as adding or removing an osteopath on the Register after a decision in a fitness to practise proceeding, then we will make these changes manually. If you have any questions about this please contact our Registration team at registration@osteopathy.org.uk
